IMPORTANCE OF SLOPE STABILITY ANALYSIS

Geotechnical slope pictured to be analyzed for stability

Slope stability analysis is the analytical method used to evaluate whether or not artificial slopes will maintain their height and structure. This can be done both dynamically (with moving variables such as water flow) and statistically through static measurements like pressure readings on different parts of soil, wall, and foundation surfaces. It's important to note that a success slope stability analysis comes from combining data & experience and is most successful when performed based off experience with real world cases & case studies.

TESTING, DESIGN, AND REPAIR BY APEC

APEC’s engineers & geologists are experienced in slope stability analysis to determine the potential for naturally occurring or engineered soil or rock slopes. Stable slopes may become unstable, leading to mass movement which can compromise the structural integrity of a development. Our engineers can assist in your design by determining how to stabilize a slope or repair a failing slope by adding surface cover, excavating or regrading the slope, adding support structures to reinforce the slope, or using drainage methods to control the groundwater in slope material.
