EPA regulations 40 CFR 112.3 for Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans are used to prevent oil or chemicals from entering navigable waters through the prevention, control, and mitigation of spills. APEC provides SPCC plans for small bulk storage facilities to large industrial facilities that store chemicals, oil, and oil-containing products exceeding EPA thresholds. APEC’s SPCC plans are certified by a licensed engineer and address the following:

• Operating procedures to prevent spills,
• Control measures to prevent a spill from reaching navigable waters, and
• Countermeasures to contain, clean up, and mitigate the effects of a spill that may reach navigable waters.
  

APEC provides cost effective and efficient operations for hazardous material spill cleanups and emergency response management. The method of cleanup is site dependent on the type of material release, the media to which the release occurred, the quantity of the material spilled, and other site dependent variables. APEC will manage the spill cleanup and act as a liaison between the client, state/federal representatives, and local authorities to ensure the cleanup is conducted and approved by the proper agents involved.
